AISAT conducted a Paper Presentation Contest AVANZA‘12 on “Inspiring Lives in Electronics or Electrical Engineering’’ on February 24, 2012 at our Campus.
Scientists have made enormous contributions towards the advancement of human civilization. Throughout the history of the world, many scientists have dedicated their lives for research and innovation. These legends have brought us out of the Dark Ages to an age of scientific inquiry, methodology and insight based upon facts, observation and experimentation. Hence it is important for us to know more about these legends who walked before time.
The participants were expected to prepare a write-up about a Scientist who inspired them. The write-up included the following details:
A) Why have you chosen this Scientist?
B) A brief biography of the Scientist.
C) Findings/ contributions of the Scientist.
D) Relevance of his/her findings today.
Dr. K.S.M Panicker, Principal, FISAT Engineering college inaugurated the function which was presided over by Msgr. Alex Vadakumthala, the Vicar General of Archdiocese of verapoly. On the Occassion, the first Volume of Quarterly Newsletter of AISAT was released by Msgr. Alex Vadakumthala by handing over a copy to Dr. K.S.M Panicker.
In the contest the 1st prize ( Rs. 10,000/-) was bagged by Lakshmi.R of Govt. Engineering College Thrissur, 2nd prize (Rs. 5,000/-) by Swathi. Prasad of FISAT Engineering College and 3rd prize (Rs. 3,000/-) by Tesni.K.Alex and Swathy P.V of Govt. Engineering college, Kannur.
