A Faculty Development Programme titled 'AISAT KAIZEN 2011' was conducted at AISAT from October 8 to 11, 2011. Prof. P. R. Chandramohan, MA, MBA, PhD, was the resource person on the first day. He spoke of the new leadership concept and broght home innovative ideas on effective teaching through role plays, games workshops etc. Prof. Dr. Varghese Paul, Msgr. Dr. Alex Vadakumthala, Prof. Dr. Babu T. Jose, Prof. Mukundan Kutty, Prof. M.R. Joseph etc. led the delibrations and discussions in the following days.
"Kaizen" is japanese expressen, which can be translated as 'constant and never-ending improvement". "Whatever may be your expertise and exposure, there is always room for improvement and development", said Rev. Dr. Clement Valluvassery in his inaugural address. He quoted Karl Rahner's definition on human being as 'Spirit in the World' and added that the possibilities of human beings are boundless and even the sky is not the limit.
